在英語中介賓短語可以做哪些成分

介詞後的部分叫作賓語，介詞加上這個賓

語就叫作介賓短語，它們在句中可作定

語，狀語，表語，補語，例子如下：

1、 The book on the desk is mine. (on the

desk 就是介賓短語作定語）

2、On hearing the news， she couldn't help

crying.(on hearing the news作狀語）

3、They are at work.(at work作表語）

4、Please leave it on the desk when you

finish reading the book.(on the desk作賓

語補語）

介賓短語就是介詞和賓語所構成的短語。

介賓短語的主要作用是在句子中作狀語。

在英語中，這類的短語有很多，如：on

the desk中，the desk是作介詞on的賓語，合在一起構成了一個介詞短語。再

如，in the river， in front of the classroom

等。
