句意：我頭疼。我需要睡一會。
本句為一般現在時，My head是單數形式，故後面動詞要用第三人稱單數形式hurts。
動詞的第三人稱單數形式:
規則1 一般情況+s e.g. like-likes， look-looks
規則2 以s， x， ch， sh和o結尾+es e.g. do-does， catch-catches

④The cat is Lucy's. 這隻貓是露茜的。
四、不定代詞someone， somebody， nobody， everything， something等及指示代詞this， that作主語時，是第三人稱單數。如：
①Everyone is here. 大家到齊了。
②There is something wrong with the watch. 這塊手錶有毛病。
③This is a pen. 這是一支鋼筆。
④That is an eraser. 那是一塊橡皮擦。
五、不可數名詞作主語時為第三人稱單數。如：
①The milk is in the glass. 牛奶在玻璃杯裏。
②The bread is very small. 那麪包很小。
六、當數字或字母作主語時，看作第三人稱單數。
如：
①I is a letter. I是個字母。
