區別就是the others指代的是複數名詞而the rest即可是指代複數名詞也可指不可數名詞，中文意思都是，其餘的，其他的

He gulped down the rest of his tea and went out.他把剩下的茶一飲而盡便出去了。

1、the others 表示某一範圍內的“其他人或物”，相當於“the other+名詞複數”，指一定範圍內剩餘的全部。通常用在句型“some... the others”中，表示“一些......剩下的那些.....”。
