一、含義不同：
each of：(兩個或兩個以上的人或物中)各自，各個，每個。
both of (與複數名詞連用)兩個，兩個都不僅…而且… …和…都。
二、用法不同：
Each of用法：
1、each of作“各自的”，“每個的”解，作形容詞用：
1）、There are many trees on each of side of the river。河流兩岸許多樹。
2）、Each of element has some special properties。每種元素都有些特殊性質。
2、作“各自”、“每個”講，作代詞用：
1）、Each has his advantages。各人都有其優點。
3、作“各自地”講，作副詞用：
1）、The students have ten books each。(=Each of the students has ten books。)這些學生每人有十本書。
2）、Different kinds of waves have each the same three characteristics: amplitude， frequency and length。不同的波（各）都有三個相同的特性：幅度、頻率和波長。
4、注意each作同位語的用法：
1）、The workers are each of them hard-working。這些工人個個勤奮勞動。
5、each other作“互相”、“彼此”解：
1）、We help each other。我們互相幫助。
2）、We often compare notes with each other on our work and study。我們經常就工作和學習方面互相交換意見。
6、each和every詞義辨異：
1）、every只能作形容詞，只有在與名詞連用或構成複合詞（如everybody每個人）時，才能作主語或賓語等，而each還可以作代詞，直接作主語或賓語（見本文二各例句）。
2）、every雖指每個，而概括全體，而each只是指“每個”，卻以“各……”為主。例如：
（1）、I know every member of the class。全班的人我都認識。（着重全體，即雖指每個，而概括全體。）
（2）、I know each member of the class。這個班每個人我都認識。（“個別”意義較重。）
both用法：
是説兩者都怎麼樣，是指兩者的， both的用法有兩種，可以和名詞、代詞連用，也可以和動詞連用，在句中作主語、賓語及同位語，也可作定語。
both of當形容詞的時候，有 both of the boys=both boys =both the boys（兩個男孩都...），接代詞的時候是 both of us=we both（我們都...），當both做副詞的時候，放在Be動詞，助動詞，情態動詞之前，行為動詞之前，比如説 We both like English。We can both sing。
另外，both 也構成短語...（兩者都...）。比如Both Tom and Tina like English。（Tom和Tina都喜歡英語），切記這裏的“like”必須用複數形式。
each of 每一個，單數，可以指兩個或兩個以上的事物中的每一個.
both of 兩者都，複數，只能指兩個，數量不能多也不能少.
both:兩個都(用於肯定） 例子：both the students are girls. （這兩個學生是女生。） each:每個(表個體) 例子：each student has a pen. （每個學生有一枝筆。）
