duck和duckling的區別

duck是鴨子，duckling專門指小鴨子，沒成年毛茸茸黃色的小鴨子。

如：There are many ducks in the river.河中有許多鴨子，另外，duck作動詞時是躲閃的意思，如：He ducked a high speed car in time yesterday.昨天他及時躲過了一高速行駛的汽車。

duckling，如：I buy some ugly ducklings in the toyshop.我在這家店裏買了些醜小鴨。

duck:

vi. 閃避沒入水中

vt. 躲避猛按…入水
