round與 all around的區別

round和all around通常可以互換，區別如下：

1、在表示"圓形運轉，回到原處"， "環繞"，"周圍"時，美語常用around，而英語常用round

例如：You can see the post office

round/around that corner. 繞過那個彎你就可以看到郵局。

2、round可以用作形容詞、副詞、介詞、動詞、名詞而around只能用作副詞或介詞。

例如：The

post office is just round (around) the house (用作介詞).

He has round face (用作形容詞).

The river rounded the stones. (用作動詞)??

3、all around

還可以表示"不止一處"，"在許多地方"，"在不同地方". 但在美國英語裏，一般只用all around

例如: The students are standing

around(學生們在到處站着)
