thousands of表示數千，加上many表示多的不計其數的意思

如:three thousand表示三千，thousand表示具體數的時候不加S

many thousand：數千，但一般不這樣用不加 of 時thousand前一般用準確數字，如one two等.

加 of 時，解釋為 什麼中的數千，但thousand不加 s 時不常與of連用，所以這種形式在高中不用，甚至有時認為是錯誤的 thousands of 解釋為數以千計的，是一種約數表達.

如:

Many thousands of books must be produced for the children.

當表示不具體的數目時用hundreds/ thousands/ millions＋of，當有具體的數字或several，那麼hundred/ thousand/ million後面不加s不要of.
